Education is the right of every individual and every individual should take education. However, it is also essential to know where this education will take you in the future. Stephen Covey said and I quote , "Always begin with the end in mind ". It is imperative to be foresighted, to have a blueprint of one's career in one's mind.
Let me divide the educational system into two parts : School education and College education. According to me, school education is perfect in India. There is right environment, encouragement from parents and teachers, good schools in the nation to train students to be the future citizens of the nation. There are various educational boards at school level such as state board, C.B.S.E., I.C.S.E. and other internationally recognized boards.Requisite number of coaching centers which solidifies the concepts in the minds of students. Schools also provide the platform by organizing various competitions which brings out the latent talent of students. At the same time, equal support is given to the school education by the government in terms of investment, encouragement, framing right policies in the interest of students. However, I do feel that there is over-investment in school education meaning thereby excess funds should have been deployed in college education.
College education is not given due importance neither by students, parents nor government. That's the reason, I feel that bright students fail to transform into good citizens of the nation. There are number of illustrations where students were excellent in their studies till school education however they could not replicate the same performance when they entered into college. Courses of college level in India does not meet the international standards. Therefore, I feel India faces the problem of 'educated unemployment'. Students achieve the degree but of no use. There are few quality institutes in the nation with limited number of seats. Thus, only the "wise becomes wiser".
I am sure that this point must be present in the minds of our honorable PM Narendra Modi.

I feel college education system should be revamped. It should be parallel to western nations where more importance is given to research, innovation, entrepreneurship. Students living in western nations start earning once they enter into colleges. This brings independence in them and thereby can follow their passion. Opposite is the case in India where parents take the responsibility of their children on their shoulders till they finish their education.
It's no coincidence that why every big idea comes from Silicon Valley. Every startup in India is a replicate of a business model from western nations. It's now in their bloods, its now ingrained into their skin that they need to be independent, they need to start earning at the earliest, need to follow their passion.
I am waiting for Narendra Modi to conduct a surgical strike on college education so that we don't have to be the victim of 'brain drain' by not participating in 'Make In India' program.
Few suggestions from my side to Narendra Modi :
1. College students education should focus on training the minds of the students just like Harvard do.
2. Entrepreneur B-schools should be opened up which ultimately results into more number of employment.
3. Courses for financial professionals so that people don't have to migrate to foreign nations.
4. Tie-ups with the foreign universities and tutors so that we can improve the quality of our institutes.
